>> Irene Green Quintana
Born in Madrid to a British father and Spanish mother. She spent four years studying for a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Later, she successfully completed a Masters in Conference Interpreting at Universidad de la Laguna, the most prestigious of its kind for the Spanish language, recognised by European Union institutions. A freelance translator and interpreter, Irene is a sworn interpreter and translator of English and Spanish and accredited by the Foreign Ministry of Spain. She now lives in Poland where she has been for almost a decade. Irene also spent a year in Edinburgh. She has worked for the Cervantes Institute in Krakow and for the Warsaw University, at the Department for Iberian and Iberoamerican Studies. She was the proof-reader for the specialised publication Itinerarios for more than two years. Among some of her collaborators you will find the Museum of Art in Lodz, the travel guide InyourPocket and the International Film Festival in Gijón (Spain). She is also a voluntary interpreter for the Via Campesina organisation. Her working languages are Polish, French, Portuguese > Spanish, English <> Spanish.
>> Dorota Budkiewicz
Born in Warsaw, she spent her childhood in Caracas, Venezuela and Mexico City. She spent five years studying for her diploma in Translation and Interpreting from the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Warsaw University. She has a Masters in Conference Interpreting from the University of Warsaw, the most prestigious in Poland and recognised by European Union institutions. Dorota graduated from the Spanish Law School within the Law and Administration Department at Warsaw University. She is a freelance translator and interpreter. She specialises in technical and specialised texts. She has worked with several major institutions, translation agencies, as well as with Polish, Spanish and international companies, such as the BBC, the Cervantes Institute, the Spanish Embassy in Poland, Budimex, Solidarność, Fitag-UGT and Comisiones Obreras.
Her working languages are Polish <> Spanish, Polish <> English, English <> Spanish.
